Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy that takes over the minds of human hosts while leaving their bodies intact. But Wanderer, the invading "soul" who occupies Melanie's body, finds its former tenant refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.
As Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of Jared, a human who has avoided invasion and lives in hiding, Wanderer begins to yearn for a man shes never met. Soon Wanderer and Melanie-reluctant allies-set off to search for the man they both love.
Featuring one of the most unusual love triangles in literature,  The Host is a riveting and unforgettable novel about the persistence of love and the essence of what it means to be human.

My Review
I honestly am in love with this book. It was exciting, romantic, and so much fun to read. This book really kept me entertained and wanting to read on! I loved the overall plot of the book and the big twists in it all. Wanda (My favorite character) because she was so strong and brave and the way she payed a great part in the whole book. She was an amazing character to put into the book. I'm excited for the second one to come out!
I recomend this book for older readers, mostly female. I can't imagine a boy reading this book because of the romance but they are welcome to it as well! I gave this book a 9/10 because it was a really good written book that I think people will enjoy reading. I also loved the plot and all the characters in it. But I didn't like the beginning so much. It was very confusing for me and I had to go back a couple times. Have a great time reading!

Favorite Quotes:

no matter what I might become.”
― Stephanie Meyer, The Host
“It is a strange world," I murmered, more to myself than to the native
soul.
"The strangest," he agreed.”
